Our favorite reenactment sites:I made this animated Viking sword.

Why are those people hitting each other?  And why is that guy wearing a crown? The SCA, our main hobby, from which most of our other hobbies spring. I made this tablet-weaving animation myself. Phiala's String Page, a good source for the weaving arts.
The best boats of the Dark Ages. Thora Sharptooth's page of Norse resources. Drachenstein Treasures Lothair von Drachenstein, one of our teachers and mentors. Please note that the dragon shown here is his registered heraldry; do not use it except to link to his site!
Vikings, they're forum! Jomsb.org:  A forum where Norse people from several reenactment groups come to share knowledge and encouragement.  Vikings,  they're forum!    

Our favorite research sites: I made this animated Viking sword.

Viking Heritage Magazine, which is well worth the subscription price for a Norse researcher. The World of the Vikings has a great CD with photos of archeological finds. It was out of production but we hope to see an updated version go on sale soon.
The Mammen Axe. The York Archeological Trust has great archeological books about the Norse people. The Frojel Discovery Program, who comes out with CDs full of great photos and research every so often.
Viking Times Magazine, out of Sweden.

Halcyon Yarn for yarn and thread. Great place for pure linen fabric. Free samples, sales and discounts.
I made this tablet-weaving animation myself. Weaver's Hand for weaving supplies. Some glass beads Isabel has made. Wale Apparatus, a good source for glass and other bead making supplies.

Shamrock Greyhounds, the group that gave us Kelly. Greyhound Friends of North Carolina, where we got Thorulf.
Great graphics! A source for many of the great Web graphics seen on this site. Don't send US any chain letters.  We delete them. A resource to verify stories of viruses and other chain letters. PLEASE check this site before you forward "warning" messages to your friends!
